I closed my eyes and gulped as my father's loud thud against the table made me jolted in my seat.

"I'll ask you again, Aria. What did you tell Rocio? You were last seen with her before she sneaked out of the estate."

"Nothing that isn't true, Dad. Alas wasn't contacting her the whole time he was in Japan. Ala,s will divorce that bitch sooner or later."

"And if Alas didn't divorce her? What do you think will happen to you after Alas put the pieces together that the reason why Rocio sneaked out was because you were feeding Rocio lies? Do you think that all the years that you shared growing up would be enough for Alas to spare you?"
