Mia’s pov

A shiver coursed down my spine but i squared my shoulders and net his gaze with a neutral one. “Never planned on doing that. What’s there to run from in here?” I asked and the small grin on his face slowly stretched until he face had lowered to my height.

“A lot, princess. A lot.” He whispered, voice husky and I shivered and shifted my weight from feet to feet.

I made a show of glancing over the entire interior of the room before returning back to staring at him.

“It’s just a room which I’ve been in a handful of times. What’s where to be scared of?” I whispered and he cocked an eyebrow before speaking, eyes dancing with what I’d term as mischief.
