Mia’s pov

“Come closer some more.” His voice was husky as he spoke, and as each word slipped past his lips, so did my nerves increase a notch higher.

When he had begun to explain where it was that he was taking me to, without me having to ask, had left me feeling extremely shocked because that was something Lorenzo would never do. Even if I had asked him, he’d choose to not reveal any details to me, so it had shocked me to the core to listen to him give me an actual explanation of where we were headed to tonight.

On getting to the said destination, I had thought we were going to head into the building almost immediately, not expecting what he said next about me inching close to him.

The look on his face unnerved me so much, making it completely impossible for me to hold his gaze.

When he had slowly and thoroughly looked me up and down on arriving to pick me up hours ago, I had felt so unnerved on feeling his gaze glide over every inch of my body, that I had wished for the ground
