Mia’s pov

It was obvious that Lorenzo was in a good mood tonight. Perhaps it was the alcohol he had before we exited the house for the wedding, because I know damn well that it wasn’t because of anything he was served at the wedding because I know he’d never est or drink anything served to him in public. As we danced, I felt like I was trapped in a completely different world with Lorenzo whereby we were completely alone there. It was easy to lose one’s self to Lorenzo’s eyes because they were so beautiful yet so intense.

When I had spotted a few of my father’s men, I had instantly felt nervous to my bones. I had thought my father was also around somewhere, but it turned out to be that I had been paranoid for nothing. At first I had thought my father finslly wanted to fight back against Lorenzo in order to rescue me, and my stomach had tightened with nervousness so fast that I grew dizzy.
