Mia’s pov

As I stepped into the room, my heart was fully lodged in my throat, but this time, it wasn’t solely because of fear. It wasn’t because of fear in the way it was the last time I was here after I had angered him and had been scared of my life. Tonight was completely different.

The feeling that was currently coursing through my veins was nervousness and excitement blended together to create an emotion that was causing my heart to race super fast.

Excitement in the sense that I had been thinking about him kissing me again for over a week, and now that it was about to happen again, I was excited to experience that once again. The kiss felt way better than I expected it to be and I couldn’t wait to feel that feeling of hotness licking at the inside of my lower stomach when he kissed me again.

And nervousness because… well, because we were back in this room, coupled with the fact that the emotions burning in his eyes were outrightly filthy and starved.
