"You didn't tell me you were going somewhere this morning," Annah smiled, walking up to Connor.

He was bare chested with only a towel slung around his waist. She hugged him from behind without caring if he was wet or not as he had just come out of the bathroom. Annah stared at his back and several scars, more than half of which he had incurred during fights stared back at her.

"You are looking at my scars… i know, they are ugly." he said, looking at her through the large mirror.

"No Connor, they aren't because what I see here is bravery and an astonishing dedication to your family to keep them safe no matter the cost. You are very bold Connor and what you did, men can't even do half of it." she smiled, kissing his back.
