"Where's Connor?" Annah asked, still sleepy eyed.

She had woken up that morning to see the space beside her cold and empty. She had woken up late because she and Connor had spent a great deal of time talking in the middle of the night and they had lost track of time.

There was no note from him or even a missed call and her heart was panicking because she didn't know where he was and what this meant.

"He'll be back soon, he has to get somewhere first." Orlando said.

Ever since the attack and Connor's rescue, Connor had given him a job here in the mansion to join the kitchen staff since obviously, he couldn't go back to Michael and the big man had only been too happy to accept it.
