Annah couldn't believe how swift and smooth the car was. The way she drove off into the night seamlessly without any hitch was something she hadn't experienced in a long time. She remembered her car, the rusty old peugeot she had been using to transport herself to school and she knew she could never make a comparison with the two. This was class, elegance and wealth and she knew that if it were in other circumstances and they had met differently, she might have given Connor a chance.

"I just can't do that with him here," she sighed.

There was no way she could backtrack on what she had already vowed on. Doing that would only make her a hypocrite and that was something she would never do. She had vowed to deal with him, to make him pay for everything he had done to her and she wasn't going to go back on her promise.
