"You've gone to talk to her?" Russo asked.

Connor walked into the living room to see him eating which was no doubt his first food for the day. If there was one thing he knew about Russo, it was that he barely ate and when he did, it was always so late in the night. He worked too hard and Connor had made it a promise to give him the vacation he needed as soon as all of this was over.

"Yes," Connor sighed.

He thought that all of this was something he could easily get over without breaking a sweat but as it stood, he realized that all of this was bigger than him and the earlier he got on with it and solved it, the better for him.

"What is that look on your face? I assume that things didn't go well with the woman?" Rita asked.

If there was one thing about Russo, it was his ability to tell that something was wrong even without Connor saying anything. There was just something about him that told Connor that the man was very wise in age and in years.
