Chapter Fifty

It was different at work and Amelia was yet to see it as a good change, now when she walked past other workers, they straightened up, like she was the boss, she was addressed with respect also. But what she did enjoy was that the rumors were gone, Kristen had no one to tell her lies about her fake dates with Xavier, her clones now understood that it was better to steak to their jobs than hang around with her as their jobs could be on a high risk.

Xavier walked around like he hadn’t been shot just a week ago, she was proud of her work with the stitches, she had feared that something would go wrong, that she didn’t do it the right way but it all turned out fine.

She hadn’t seen Kelvin for the whole week, he was doing a very good job at avoiding her and she felt guilty to say it was better that way. Things hadn’t ended well with them and even if she wanted to apologize more, she understood the importance of giving him space. He needed it.

She also had to give a shit load of explanation t
