CHAPTER 16

Luca had manged to sort everything out after the two suspicion looking people escaped. Lorenzo could now move his body, but his limbs still felt heavy from whatever it was that was injected into his body. Luca and Lorenzo were inside Don Russo’s study as the waited for him to come.

“I still don’t understand why you didn’t go after them.” Lorenzo said as he laid on the couch.

“It would have been pointless to do so.” Luca answered with his mind pretty far away.

“How do you know it would have pointless unless you actually tried?” Lorenzo pressed on with the matter and Luca sighed as he was now becoming annoyed with him. He held his tongue and luckily the conversation ended there for now when Giovanni walked in.

“Boss.” Luca said and showed his respect while Lorenzo attempted to stand but Giovanni signalled for him to stay put as he passed by him.
