Chapter 68

Weylin blinked twice, his eyesight being hazy. With a few more blinks, his vision cleared. An unfamiliar pastel blue ceiling welcomed him.

Where am I? Weylin thought, squinting his eyes.

He put his hand on his forehead, out of habit while waking up, only to realize that there was a wet cloth on his forehead. Frowning, he propped his body on his elbows.

Abruptly, his eyes fell on Garaine who was sleeping on her arms which were kept on the edge of the bed while she sat on the stool. She fell asleep while taking care of him. There was a small tub of water kept on the adjacent stool with a wet towel on its rim.

“She was taking care of me.” An unannounced smile spread on his lips.

Pushing his body, he sat up, leaning against the pillows behind his back. Her untied tousled dark hair fell on her back like the dark clouds covering the sky before a tremendous storm. Those tangled locks fell on her face, blocking the view of her angelic face. He had an irresistible urge to push those naught
