Chapter Forty Four

Italy, 2017

Two Years Later:

Music blasts into Agatha's ears the moment she enters the room, staring at her surroundings, at the mass of dancing people, their sweaty bodies colliding together with the smell of liquor, lust and sweat thick in the air.

Standing in the doorway, Agatha analyses the room, the dimly lit dance floor, at the tacky choice of music, before a lopsided smile appears on her lips, her heavily lined eyes turning upwards like a cat.

And just like everyone else in the room, Agatha joins them, dancing and drinking and shaking her body to the music, letting herself loose to it.

Half an hour passes, and she still does the same thing, drinking and dancing while men stare at her with lust in their eyes, trying to approach her but always one step away.

It is only when the voice of Romeo calling out reaches her ear, or more like earpiece does she finally come down to earth, staring at her surroundings.
