Chapter 72: Cruelty

Her heart raced. Staring at those familiar blue eyes, she was speechless. She was stunned. She couldn't even move an inch. She felt as if her whole body stiffened in a mixture of shock and fear.

Fear for what was about to happen. Fear that the dark past she tried so hard to conceal would resurface and repeat itself.

"Z-Zeus," she whispered fearfully. Almost nothing changed on the young man's face. He was still as handsome and masculine as before, but he looked more mature than before.

The corner of Zeus' lips lifted. He looked at her with a smirk while there was a mocking ringing in his eyes.

"Long time no see, sister-in-law," he said through his low voice.

She stepped back as she looked at the young man in shock. "W-What? What... Are you doing here?"

He shrugged his shoulders nonchalantly and said with a smirk, "I noticed a blue-eyed little girl and immediately felt a connection with her. Do tell me, Flower, isn't she my niece?"
