"You just need to calm down, wife, or else she might hear us," he said calmly, trying to soothe her down, but it only pissed her off.

"Don't call me wife!" she yelled. "I am no longer your wife and you will never be my husband, you got that?!" She looked at him from his head to toe before looking back into his blue eyes. "You disgust me!"

He pressed his lips into a thin line. "Look, I know you're angry at me, but can we just start all over again? I promise to be the best father and husband you could ever ask for."

She laughed dryly. "What?" Disbelief was visible on her face. "Are you fucking serious? Start all over again? For Pete's sake, Xavier! It's been 5 years! It has been 5 fucking years since we last met, and yet the trauma you inflicted to me is still here, and then, all of a sudden, you want us to start again?! Are you nuts or you're just plain insensitive?!" she shouted right in front of his face.

"That's why I'm asking for another chance." He took a step towards her. "Give me
