There was a knock on the door and she instantly knew it was him, but she ignored it. She can't talk to him right now. He can't see her right now. She has tears in her eyes and she's afraid he might take advantage of her vulnerability once again.

And so, she went to the bathroom with her daughter and bathed her in the tub while ignoring the knocks on the door. She will deal with him later.

After bathing her daughter and being patient while she played with the toy ducks on the tub and at the same time splashing her water every now and then, Margarette was finally done with Xaire. She picked her up and carried her back to the bed where she put her clothes on. She dressed, lotioned, and brushed her child's hair, and made sure she was clean enough. She couldn't risk Xaire getting sick.
