73 Flu Day

I woke up groggily with bleary eyes, feeling intense ache in my head and knowing immediately that I had indeed had one of my worst nights.

My sleep had been so restless with different events I could not even recollect now. If I had dreamt, then they were all a mass of fog in my brain.

Turning slowly to my side to put my feet to the floor, I had to stop a groan of pain from coming to my lips.

Walking slowly like a child who was just learning its first step, I moved to the bathroom, hoping that a blast of cold water would help clear my head.

It did help, slightly, and a few minutes later I was standing in front of my closet wondering what cloth to select that would best match my mood.

At the end of the day, I did nothing.

Knowing full well that to even walk down the stairs would be more work than I could handle, I forced myself into an old long sleeve pyjamas and I crawled on the bed.
