Chapter 33. The Blood Trace

When Eva was working, a doctor came suddenly to see her. She quickly paused, stunned. Eva was frowning to see someone she knew recently, doctor Edgar Vandross.

“Doctor Vandross, what are you doing here?” Eva asked with a frown on her forehead. The doctor sighed and glanced at Cheyne Ludacris, who pulled him half-forcefully from the hospital.

“Mr. Ludacris said to me that you were hurt, Miss Alexander.” Doctor Vandross said it with a flat expression. Now Eva got more freckles through her nose with deeper frowns.

“What? No, I’m fine, Doctor.” Eva denied it spontaneously. She glanced at Cheyne, who kept his eyes on Dr. Vandross like a hunter.
