Vinny

I woke up on a couch and instantly scanned my surroundings. The open planned living area was minimalistic in décor with a few pieces of white Ikea furniture and a floor rug. There was a large pot plant by the front door which looked as though it was on its last legs. There was no TV. In the space where a TV should go there was a large bookshelf. The bookshelf was jammed packed with pristine novels, mostly thriller and fantasy but that wasn’t what had caught my attention. There were nursing textbooks shoved in among the fiction.

Nursing books, and the place reeked of jasmine. Fuck. Somehow, I had managed to find my way to Roman’s house. I groaned softly then looked around the room again, curiosity getting the better of me. I was behind enemy lines.
