Chapter 16

A glowing pair of blue eyes was staring at me so immensely, that I felt something was on my face even though I couldn't see anything. At first, I was scared, but his eyes alone made me feel safe, safer than I have ever been.

" Beta Gabriel, " I called out and he shook his head before helping me stand up. He began to walk away, and I frowned, wondering if he was just going to leave like that. 

Suddenly, the light came on and I had to close my eyes, due to the intensity of the light and opened it later, just to see him standing in front of me, causing me to jump. I placed my hands on my chest, heaving out a sigh of relief.

" What were you doing in the dark? " He asked, not fazed by my behavior. To be honest, I was taken by surprise by the fact that he finally talked to me, after bringing me to the Bloodfang Pack. I almost thought he had gone dumb after that day.
