Chapter 24

MAYA

Julia and I went to our room and cleaned the house and had dinner. We haven't said a word to each other after our conversation in the kitchen. 

Throughout the cleaning process, I was in deep thoughts, thinking about what she said. There was a high chance that Gamma Serena knew about my marriage with Alpha Victor and also a high chance that she knew nothing about it.

A knock was heard on the door and I stood up to open the door, just to see Gabriel standing in front of the door. I opened the door wide for him to enter and looked around.

" Your room is lovely, " he complimented and I waved him off, knowing he was just pulling my legs. On sighting him, Julia stood up from the bed and bowed her head at him.

" You don't have to do this, you can feel comfortable around me, " he told her, smiling softly at her. He turned back to look at me and I gasped.
