The Rocket
“Olivia,” an unknown voice called out, shaking her out of her thoughts.
Half-heartedly she opened her eyes and turned her head to look in the direction of the voice. She had been sitting there silently for the past twenty minutes or so. Her eyes were puffy and her head felt heavy. Lately, despite all her efforts she had not been able to get good sleep and the restlessness was taking its toll. The guy had walked closer. She was right, the face and the voice were both unfamiliar. She looked at him with lack of interest.
Perhaps a new trainee, she thought. He was young, around the same age as her. He was wearing a navy suit, white shirt and a blue tie. His short, dark hair was combed back. His curious blue eyes peered from behind his eyeglasses.
“Detective Hansel,” he offered his hand.
Olivia was taken by surprise. Judging by his looks, she had not expected him to be a full detective. Perhaps he looks younger than his age, she thought
