Xavier's POV

My eyes fluttered open as the sun shined into the room. It's early, looking over at the clock, 7:30am. Too early. I look down, there she is, my mate, cuddled into my side, her hand resting on my chest. She's still peacefully asleep, her breath warm against my side.

It's quite cold here today. "Winter is almost here." I say softly as I move her hair out of her face, showing where I marked her last night.

Images of last night flood my mind, causing my cheeks to flush. The way she moaned my name, the way our bodies fit each other perfectly. She was perfect in every way. It seems I broke the wall she had up. Though I know it will be very easy for her to put that wall back up, if we betray her trust.

I slowly take her arm off of me, trying to not wake her. Which I succeed in doing, and slowly get out of the bed. "Time to get dressed." I say to myself as I walk over to my dresser.
