Chapter 26 - The aftermath

Matteo POV

After an incredible afternoon of sex I take Avery to our bed after bathing her and cleaning her from the kisses Katherine planted on Avery’s body. she is extremely tired and I need to make some phone calls. I didn’t show up for my meeting and that can cause me some trouble. I will make a phone call and rearrange it for tomorrow. I will make sure that I book the meeting early in the morning so Avery is still asleep and she won’t miss me.

I leave the room with only the shower towel wrapped around my waist and walk into the office. I grab my phone that has more than ten missed calls. Fuck.

I return the calls rearranging everything explaining there was a big emergency in New York that needed my undivided attention. People know I am a serious businessman, I don’t take bullshit and I take care of what is mine. I didn’t lie, there was an emergency in New York, but Avery became more important all of a sudden with her need for constant sex.
