Chapter 37 - One year
Matteo POV
“Are you ready?”, I ask before kissing Avery’s bare neck. I can see a chill down her spine while she turns around facing me.
“Almost”, she says before turning around again and looking at herself in the mirror. Today is our one year anniversary and I pretend to propose to her. We haven’t talked about marriage or kids, but I am hoping that she wants it as much as I do. I can’t believe I thought I would be happier without her, that I would be able top manage having a life protecting her from afar. Once I realised that wasn’t possible things became a lot easier.
“I’m ready”, she whispers as she puts on her right shoe. I love watching her getting dressed, she is so sexy that makes me want to rip her clothes off instantly, as soon as they touch her skin.
