Chapter 11: Wish
Evy felt her hand being engulfed by something cold and squishy, turning her head to the side she saw the blob woman gave her a silver amulet. Carefully not to disturb the still upset Francine, Evy questions the woman.
"What's this?"
"Proof that I lost. Take that amulet to Devathor Peak, take the route of the beasts and you will find a cave. That amulet is your key to entering inside. I'll be waiting for your lady just until the next moon. If she does not show up I will retract my offer of taking any more pupils. Til then."
The woman slithered from the ground back to the water where she disappeared. The rain had not stopped but had lulled to a manageable state. The two stared at each other as the half-human half-spirit had truly approved of the request.
"Wait. Did I get accepted?" Was her lady question to which Evy had grinned for what felt like years.
