Rideten, Present Time

The house was exactly as Talen had advertised it. Modest, neutral, and functionally modern. On the ground floor, there was a laundry room, a sleek galley-style kitchen, a dining room, a lounge, and a small powder room. Up the stairs, there were three bedrooms and one and a half bathrooms.

“Now we’re talking,” Rhett declared as he discovered the master bedroom. Over his shoulder, Aislen saw that the bed was a massive, steel-framed construction very similar to that Talen had installed in her bedroom. “The puppy is going to go weak at the knees,” he threw himself back onto the bed and patted the mattress beside him so that Aislen joined him.

For a moment they lay, looking up at the rails and fixing points over head.

“Who do you think he fucked here?” Rhett wondered.

Aislen turned her head to look at him. “What do you mean?”

“I mean, a man doesn’t install a kinky bed into his safe houses unless he uses it regularly. Who do you think he was fucking before us?” Rhett w
