Lilliana’s POV

Nikolai’s grip tightened around my hand as we both walked out of my room. Questions ran through my mind and the urge to ask questions about where he was taking me was intense but I kept it to myself.

Nala was restless and wouldn’t stop talking about how Nikolai regrets rejecting us and wants us back now. I was sure that he could feel her excitement because his lips curled.

‘He’s going to accept us back and it’s all going to be smooth sailing.’ Nala finished. My mouth opened but I shut it back immediately.

He could be taking me somewhere to punish me for all I know and Nala is getting all excited about him wanting us back. Sternly, I asked her to be quiet and she obeyed but not without passing a last comment.

What if I didn’t reach up to his expectations last night and he’s angry about that?

If he was angry, he wouldn’t have told me that he had a nice time with me.
