9.|| A dream or not?

Lilliana’s POV

Groaning, I have never felt as relaxed as this in months. I turned on my bed as my eyes opened and the ray of sunlight making its way into my room caused me to shut it back.

“I had the weirdest dream.” I muttered to Nala as I tried to stand up and get ready for my chores today but the pain that surged through me stopped me and my eyes widened.

Whatever happened last night wasn’t a dream and this pain is proof of that. My body shook and my teeth gritted as everything played back in my head and the more I tried to pretend it didn’t happen, the more the pain reminded me of the fact that it did.

“It’s not real, it’s not real, it’s not real, you’re dreaming.” I repeated to myself like it was a mantra as I made my way to the bathroom and my breath caught in my throat when I saw the condition I was in down there.
