Focusing on my work around the house proved to be a little bit difficult and it didn’t take long for the rumors to start spreading.

I knew that bumping into Kieran more times than usual was going to make people talk but it wasn’t my intention to keep bumping into him like that.

I had even tried to keep my distance, avoiding all the possible routes that Kieran could take but that didn’t seem to work as he kept showing up.

“Why does he have to keep showing up?” I sighed and it wasn’t until I heard one of the maids' responses behind me did I realize that I’d said it out loud.

“You could stay in the kitchen and avoid him for the rest of the day,” the nice maid said and I raised an eyebrow, realizing that it wouldn’t be a bad idea to do as she says.

“He can’t come down here considering how pompous these royals are,” she said and my brows were raised even higher, “except for Alpha Nikolai of course.” She quickly added.
