“I really have to go now, Lily,” Nikolai kissed me, “I’m already exhausted and can’t wait to be back here with you.” He sighed.

Smiling, I kissed him again before helping him readjust his tie. I knew how busy Nikolai was going to be today because of the meeting.

The house was also going to be filled with people swooping in and out of it and from all of the slight noises I’ve been hearing, I could tell that everyone he invited were coming around already.

“I know, just go and get all of this over with, I’ll be waiting for you.” I assured him, kissing him again before pulling away from him.

Nikolai nodded and I watched as he left the room, my eyes lingered on the door for a while and I couldn’t help but sigh as I went to bed.

It’s still very early in the morning and Nikolai hasn’t even been gone for up to five minutes and I was already missing him.
