Days after the rogue attack, repairs had begun in the Pack, and I couldn’t wait to see the outcome when it was finally done. The members of the Pack along with Grey were working hard to ensure safety. Security was tightened, and the guards patrolled the entire area more frequently.

We’d lost quite a few Pack members, so some families were in mourning. While I didn’t understand what it felt like to lose someone dear, I had empathy for them.

Sitting in bed, I massaged my hands and legs the best I could. I didn’t know what plans Grey had in mind, but I trusted him enough to know that he had the best interest of the Pack at heart and knew he wouldn’t let the Pack down. Still, I had questions about what was going on and the information he had found.

I got up from my bed and walked out of my room with the thought of getting a much-needed breath of fresh air, and made my way to the garden. There was no one else there, so it gave me the chance to let my thoughts free. As the earth
