EVA'S POV

I felt a piercing pain in my chest as I saw Zero standing there in Adrian's room, half-naked. It was as if the world had stopped turning, and all that remained was this moment of betrayal. I couldn't believe my eyes. I thought that Zero was my friend, that she would never do something like this to me. But there she stood, with her shirt off and Adrian's hands on her waist.

I was seething with anger. My eyes narrowed, my lips tightened, and my fists clenched at my sides. I felt like I could explode at any moment, but I managed to keep myself together.

As I turned to leave, I heard Adrian's voice calling after me. "Eva, wait! Let me explain!"
