Saturday, November 10th Pt. 2

“There are many reasons that I refused to leave you at General this time but I think the best way for you to understand is starting at the beginning.

When you were dumped the only thing you were wearing was a pair of boxers. Your face was so bloody and swollen that when you arrived at the hospital not even Alex recognized you. He took a blood sample once he got the IV in your ankle. I was shocked when he called me later that morning wanting me to attend a private meeting.

Emily, take a seat on the bed. I would like you to help keep him calm. Although these medications help his pain they also cause him to feel a lot of burning.”

I whimper lightly as the bed dips beside me. A much smaller hand now slips into mine. I attempt to yelp as I feel the burn, pulling my leg away from the source until it meets the resistance of a gentle hold.

“I give both of these in four small doses. Try to relax.”
