Chapter 100

Audrey’s POV

Fear, that was all I could feel as I stared into the deep dark orbs that glinted back at me. Shantel could be scary when she wanted to and this was one of those times I almost feared her.

Right now, I wasn’t really scared of her but instead was scared of what she could do if she was allowed out of this cell.

“Hey, deal or no deal?” She called, waving at my face and I had no other option but to look up at her.

She had this maniacal look on her face that made me almost scream; ‘no deal!’ but this was important. Too important to let my fears get the best of me.

I gingerly pulled my hands in front of myself and thrusted it into one of the spaces between the metallic barricades. She immediately took the cue and placed her hand in mine.

“Deal.” I said.

“Cool,” She replied with a smile, and then let go of my hand.

For a minute, I almost wanted to take back my words but after weighing all of my odds, I ruled that thought out of my mind.

I needed Shantel’s help whether I trusted
