Chapter 76

Audrey’s POV

“Shit!” Kaden curses under his breath, which made me turn to look in his direction.

I wanted to ask him what was wrong until I noticed that he was staring out the car’s window at something… or someone beyond. I tried to take a peek at what it was but found nothing; in fact, it was almost as if he was seeing things I could not see.

The car came to a stop shortly after that and the first thing I was greeted with as soon as I stepped out of Kaden’s car was an angry looking Shantel.

She looked like she had just been run over by a moving truck and let out strings of profanities from her lips like they meant absolutely nothing.

The only thing which bothered me though was the fact that she was directing her insults at me.
