Chapter 96

Audrey’s POV

I breathed out heavily as I raised my hand above my head and knocked on Kaden’s large mahogany door and almost as soon as I knocked, it flung open revealing Kaden with a newspaper in his hand and a reading glass sitting on his nose.

Asides the low waisted joggers he was wearing, he was completely bare; I gulped.

“Come on in!” He offered, gesticulating with his arm and as soon as he said those words, I didn’t wait for him to repeat himself before I stepped in quickly and shut the door behind me.

The room was a mess. He had tons of books lying everywhere, ranging from his table to the floor and sofas. It looked too disorganized.

“Why do you have so many books lying about?” I asked but when I turned to look in the direction he was once standing, I was shocked to see that he was no longer here.

“Where is he?” I thought to myself but then sighed when I heard sounds coming from his bathroom, which signified that he was there.

A few minutes later, he walked out of the bathroom l
