Cosimo:

“I told you that sending his mate to him was going to be a bad idea, Cosimo.” Alessio said, looking me in the eye. “You should have known that she would eventually feel the bond, no matter what spell you put on her.”

“The woman would have him killed before the two of them figure out that they are mates.” I said, and the omega scoffed.

“She is a huntress, regardless of how much we tried to stop that from showing in her, it would eventually become clear to everyone what she is.” He said, and I let out a low growl. “She was given her crest by Sebastian. The man dared take the risk and give it to her.”

“You are not going to do anything against him. We still need him in our loop, and whether or not he’s given it to her will not make a difference. She won’t know who she is and where she comes from,” I said, tapping my desk twice.

“Why don’t you just take hers? Why have her killing people around to claim something when you have one in your own grasp?” Alessio asked, and I shook
