Damian POV

I could see her fidgeting, like she was unsure of herself. Did something really happen to her when she went out? There was no scratch on her except her dirty hands.

“That's a strange question, don't you think?” She asked back, going to sit on the sofa by the side. I walked up to her and touched her hair, removing the piece of leaf I had seen earlier.

For some reason, I found her messy hair adorable. My hands were itching to play with them. She was looking at me with a confused expression, I almost smiled.

I was also confused. One minute I wanted her, the next I was trying to convince myself that I didn't want her, thereby making her confused.

Clearing my throat, I stood up. “How is the factory?” I asked, like I did not know anything about it. Meanwhile the technician had come to me to receive his pay.
