After Nathaniel beat and knocked me out, I take a sharp breath in as I was pulled back to consciousness by a wave of power that swept out over the entire battlefield. I try to move and find that I can’t and my body is engulfed in pain and exhaustion due to the lack of blood now running through me.

I then drift in and out of consciousness. I vaguely remember Archer and Devlin approaching me. Devlin then picks me up off the ground and throws me over his shoulder before throwing me into the back of the SUV. They were never gentle with anything that they did.
