I could feel my connection to Skylar fading, so I didn’t need Savannah’s words of hurry to let me know that I didn’t have much time. I check the location that Savannah sent through to me from her tracking spell, quickly start my bike and speed off down the highway.

It doesn’t take me long to get to the small town marked as the location. I slide my bike to a stop when I pull into what looks like the main street and there are 6 different motels. I look around me and a shiver of fear runs through me at which one she is in.

I get off my bike and turn in a circle, looking at all the motels; I pull out my phone and check it again. Only the tracking spell didn’t pinpoint the exact motel she was staying in and the longer I was standing there, the more I could feel her connection fading.

I am surprised when I feel my head fill with calm as I hear his voice in my head,

“Julian. Take a deep breath. As in training, breathe and focus.”

I do as he says. I close my eyes and take a deep c
