Chapter 26

Eero’s perspective

I looked at the door of my room. It felt like I saw someone standing in there, but when I went ahead to check it. There was no one. The hall is empty, and all the doors in the room next to mine are closed as well.

I have lightly shaken my head and heaved a sigh out of relief. I only stopped looking around after I felt Alpha Claudius standing next to me.

“What's the matter, Eero?” He asked me. He was eyeing the very same hall that I was inspecting earlier. I turned to him and shaken my head while my hand moves to close the door.

“Nothing. It's just that I thought I saw someone standing near my door when we were talking, but there was no one.” Alpha Claudius gazes at the door, and then his eyes quickly found their way back to me.

“Let me help you back in bed.” He offered me his arm that I was about to hold unto until I saw the playful smile on Beta Caspian, teasing us.
