Lucy’s POV

“Are you… a monster?”

He didn't answer my question; instead, he stared at me for a very long time until I told him, "Well, I don't care if you're a bad guy or not.”

“And why is that?”

"Because my freedom is the only thing that matters to me." I told him with a smile.

And I pulled away from him, saying, "Don't worry, I'm not going to breach the contract."

The following morning, I awoke next to him in the same room. He had his arms around my waist, and when I tried to move, I couldn't move because he tightly held my waist.

I stared at him for a minute until I noticed his wrinkled brows, and saying something under his breath made it look like he was having a bad dream.

"Hey, wake up!" I gently tapped him on the top of the head.

He sat up, looked around, and breathed heavily. With wide eyes, he skimmed at me and said, "Get ready; we're leaving now."

"Oh, I thought we were going to stay here for a week?"

I got out of bed and gathered my belongings
