29. You Are Mine, Lucy

Lucy’s POV

"That's not a good question. Are you thinking that I killed your dad?" he asked with a soft laugh.

"Be thankful that I didn't kill anyone in your family. What happened to him was all his fault." Then, with his angry lips pursed, he pushed me into his car.

I wiped away the tears that were falling down my cheeks. Remembering my father brought back a flood of memories, and I couldn't help but cry quietly. Even the thought of him makes me cry because I miss him so immensely.

I looked over at Arman, and as he heard my quiet sob, his jaw clenched. He then said, "I don't know why girls get so upset. Their favorite things to do are cry, whine, and, even worse, blame men for their emotional distress."

"Because this wouldn't happen if my dad didn't owe you something. I lost everything...." And I burst into a cry as I said, "My feelings are valid!"

He exhales gently, "I understand, so no worries. Let it all out, sob it all, because you'll feel better afterward."
