“Do you want anything else?”

Maria asked after giving her the afternoon meds.

“Not really, I just want to sit like this for a few minutes,”

She responded to which Maria nodded, she expected her to leave but she took her sit and they both sat there in silence for about twenty minutes before Nora told her to help her back on the bed.

“Remember you can call me if you need anything,”

Maria said before she left the room for the second time that day. Nora spent the rest of the afternoon after Maria gave her lunch on her own, she felt choked up in the room she was in but she didn’t want to disturb Maria or cause her unnecessary stress, it was bad that the older woman has to look after her so she didn’t want to add to her job. She spent the afternoon going over possible escape plans but nothing she thought about sounded reasonable, it would be impossible to get to the gate, she saw how far the distance from the entrance to the main house had been when they had gotten in last night, not to m
