Lillian's perspective.

My body stiffened. I quickly got up from Seth's body and turned around to face the man who had manifested out of nowhere. Had he been in the room all along?

"You saw it yourself just now. She was the one pressing down on me," Seth slowly got to his feet.

I gritted my teeth and cut a glance at him, "You were the one who was pulling me down!"

"Ismail's eyes are working perfectly, you know. I'll get going first," Seth quickly made his escape.

Watching his back disappear at the stairs, I had no choice but to face reality in the form of the angry man behind me.

I turned back. In order to ease the atmosphere, I forced a smile and asked him, "Hey, is there a wedding in the house today?"

His fierce gaze swept across the room and landed on my face. He answered, "Miss Chloe, as the lady of the house, shouldn't you pay attention to my image and keep a good distance from other men?"
