Lillian's perspective

"What else do you think you have to catch my eye?"

"A*swipe!" I cursed. I got up and was about to leave when Ismail gripped my wrist. The next moment, my body fell on him.

With a turn of his body, he pressed me under him and kissed—no, bit—my neck. Alcohol had clearly made him more aggressive.

I gasped in pain and instinctively began to shove him away. Try as I might, he was still on top of me, unbudging.

He bit my neck with a vengeance, and his words were dripping with vindictiveness as he said, "Do you know how much I hate you?"

"Come on, wake up. I'm not her," I patted him on the back and shouted.

He was really, really drunk.

Why would he suddenly think of that woman? He had never mentioned her before. Was it because of the dress I had worn?

If that was the case, then I had indeed played a crucial role in it.

He was still as gruff as ever, but I gradually gave up on struggling against his hold. If he had to let off steam before he could feel better, then so be
