Chapter Ninety One

Their car stopped in front of the state university. Roth looked questioningly at Tristan who was busy calling someone on his phone.

Minutes later, she walked out of the university, with a bag slung on her shoulder, clad in a plaid skirt and knee-boots, looking very different from that day at the party. Roth amusedly raised an eyebrow at Tristan as if to say, “really?”

The chauffeur stepped out of the car to open a door for her, as Tristan scooted over next to Roth to make room for her, such that he would be sandwiched between both of them.

After she was settled in and the car started moving forward, Tristan introduced them to each other. Roth stretched out a hand which she reluctantly took. She was exclusively quiet, which was very unlike her.

Tristan pulled out his phone to text her an apology to her for bringing Roth along. Roth peered over his shoulder to see who he was texting as he opened Eleanor’s chat, “So you guys text on dates?” Roth threw his head back and laughed as Tris
