Chapter Ninety

Roth had indeliberately been avoiding Tristan since after his confession, that he didn't know Roth had heard, but the change in Roth's behavior had not escaped Tristan's notice, and he told Roth as much later that night when Roth returned from his shenanigans.

Tristan had stayed up, waiting for Roth, although Roth returned early on Sunday evenings. Roth took his work very seriously, and despite all of his activities, he always prioritized work during the week.

Roth dismissed Tristan’s concerns blaming it on the busy weekend, claiming that nothing had changed between them and perhaps Tristan was just overthinking it.

Tristan was in his office when his secretary informed him that there was a call for him from some Eleanor. Slightly taken aback, he asked her to pass the call along to him. He was not surprised at her having found his number, his company number was easily discoverable.
