It has been a week since the peace treaty was signed, and Aunt Kat has been visiting packs and testing women who’ve come forward. The oldest woman they’ve found is fifty, so that means that even before Betram Goldacre started financing the school, someone was already running things.

Betram has barricaded himself in one of his compounds. It took us a while to find him, despite the help of everyone. The bastard has way too much money and power for someone who isn’t even an alpha. People aren’t loyal to him out of some sort of respect or admiration, but they’ll follow the fucking money.

I’ve heard my parents talking about what they’ll do when they find him. Dad really wants to kill him, but we need answers first. Mom said that she doesn’t want dad to go to that dark place again and that she would rather see someone else question Betram Goldacre.

"Maybe Storm can do it." Delta offered, but I was pretty sure he’d want to kill Goldacre just as badly as dad did.
